Henry Lee Lucas

Throughout his time in prison, where he died of heart failure, Lucas created a series of paintings. Some of them were peaceful landscapes that defy what people might expect from a disturbed mind and others focused on respresentations of human disfigurement. In 1993, he let fellow artist Stephen Kasner display a painting of his childhood home as part of a serial killer art exhibition.
