Determining Style Adaptability or Style Effectiveness (Form B)

Scoring for therapist adaptability begins by noting the letter of the response you chose for Situation 1 on the Style Inventory and circling the number found in the square under that letter along the row designated for Vignette 1. For example, if you chose response "D" to Vignette 1, you would circle the value 1 in the top row. If you selected response "A" for Vignette 2, you would circle the value 3 in the second row of numbers. Enter the data on your responses to the 12 vignettes in this manner. Then sum the circled values for each column and enter that sum in the row labeled subtotal in that column. These four subtotals are then summed to yield your total style adaptability score.
