MAIN

Aygul was born and raised in Kazan, Russia. All her life before college,
she spent in one small tatar school. Additionally, she studied fine arts, piano, and gymnastics, all not too far around the city.
She never anticipated that in about 5 years, she will be discussing topics of displacement and globalization in her art work... while living in United States.

"Home does not become an issue until it is no longer there or is being lost”
~THEANO S. TERKENLI

Aygul received B.S. degree from University of Minnesota in Graphic Design. Currently, she is in the middle of developing her thesis film, for an Inter-Disciplinary M.F.A. in the Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
