MEEC 2005 FIELD TRIPS

NEW FOR 2005!

Southern Illinois is called "the land between the rivers" because it is bordered by the Mississippi River on the west and the Ohio River on the east. Southern Illinois University at Carbondale is located in a transition zone between several North American biomes and thus provides a unique opportunity for the study of diverse ecological communities!

General Information:

• Please register early. Seating is limited to 20 participants per destination.
• Transportation is provided for all field trips.
• You will need field clothes and boots. Feel free to bring camera, binoculars, food, and drinks.
• State and federal law prohibit collecting in Illinois natural areas.
• Field trips will take place rain or shine!

Fees: Registration fee for each field trip is $15.00.
