The Hospitality and Tourism Major at SIUC offers an undergraduate program, as preparation for careers in hospitality and tourism management. Its mission is to provide educational and service activities with the end goal of enabling students, professionals, and the community to function in a changing global society. The Major integrates other disciplines and addresses ongoing concerns and needs of the hospitality and tourism industry in its diverse environments. It is broad in scope and content, and provides for theory development, experimentation, and practice that cultivate personal, social, and intellectual pursuits for the enhancement of life-long learning.
